Andrew Vallee

Andrew Vallee grew up in New Hope, PA, near the home and studios of renowned furnituremaker George Nakashima. He was influenced by Nakashima's teachings at a young age with his boyhood friend and grandson of Nakashima, Misha Amagasu. After graduating from WWU in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Art, Andrew dedicated himself to learning the craft of furnituremaking, apprenticing for noted master furnituremaker Alan Rosen of Lummi Island. Andrew lives in Edison, WA, with his wife Andrea and daughters Genevieve and Marguerite.

Wesley Smith

Wesley Smith grew up all over the globe living in Italy and Japan, studying abroad, and learning about the world with his family. He has been heavily influenced by the woodwork he viewed as a child in the temples and shrines of rural Japan. Wesley graduated from WWU in 1995 with a degree in Economics. After college he continued his education with a two-year apprenticeship under noted master furnituremaker Alan Rosen of Lummi Island, learning the intricacies of fine furnituremaking. Wesley lives in Edison with his wife Sarah and son Buck.
